Ryan loved and pursued Jesus hard.  He deeply loved his family.  He served his community and state to see that no child was without a home that needed one.  His energy was insanely contagious and unmatched.

Ryan LaMon Benton, age 41, died unexpectedly of natural causes in Guthrie, Oklahoma, on the early morning of January 2nd, 2018.

Ryan was known to many as a passionate follower of Christ who was full of light, joy, and laughter.  He spent his life working in various ministries and churches throughout Oklahoma.

111Project is honored that Ryan’s family would ask that donations be made to CarePortal in lieu of flowers for the funeral to continue the work that Ryan was passionate about in Oklahoma.  111Project’s CarePortal seeks to build a network of churches in every community in Oklahoma that will care for vulnerable children and families.   Ryan Benton not only helped found this movement in Oklahoma, he was a continued loud voice of advocacy for those that often don’t have one.  We are grateful for him and his families work.

Funeral services for Ryan LaMon Benton, 41, of Guthrie, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 5, 2018 at Community Church located at 512 East Seward Road, Guthrie, OK 73044.  Friends and family are invited to attend the burial which will take place at Guthrie Summit View.   Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Ryan was born July 27, 1976 to Connie and Don Benton of Guthrie, OK .  He is survived by his wife Amy of 19 years, his two daughters Chrissy Ryanne, Lillie Anne and his son Adam Edward, his father Don Benton, and his brother Lance Benton.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie.

Viewing will be held Thursday, 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and Friday, 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
