Sequoyah County Community Gathering
OKDHS OFFICE: 502 George Glenn Blvd, Sallisaw, OK 74955Community GatheringsWhat is a Community Gathering? In the simplest terms, this is where you get to hear about what is happening in your community at a very local level and how you can be involved. These are regular meetings of church and agency leaders, as well as community members, who collaborate to support and advocate for children and families, particularly through the CarePortal. These gatherings provide a platform for sharing stories (both the good and the challenging), discussing local needs, collaborating on resources, developing strategies for family support, and planning future actions for vulnerable children and families within each specific geographic community.
