Meet the 111 Team: Jason Grewe

  • March 26, 2024
  • Meet the 111 Team

Jason is the 111Project Regional Manager for Eastern Region 4A including Adair County, Cherokee County, Creek County, Haskell County, McIntosh County, Muskogee County, Okfuskee County, Okmulgee County, Sequoyah County, and Wagoner County. His role includes supporting church leaders, mobilizing local churches and community partners, and managing the ecosystem of care. Jason joined the team in September 2022 but has been advocating for foster care agencies for over nine years.

Before starting at 111Project, Jason worked as a youth pastor for over 10 years; he served as a Residential Care Worker for the Tulsa Boys Club for two years; he was an interim pastor for three years; he served as a Recruitment and Fund Developer at TFI Oklahoma for six years; and was a Faith and Community Engagement Coordinator for Circle of Care for three years.

Jason received a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry and Leadership from Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College. He has been married to his wife, Scarlett, for 16 years and they have three children: Ethan, Lauren, and Caleb. They attend BattleCreek Church in Broken Arrow.

His favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 4:7:

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

Jason leans on this verse in the good times and bad.

“It grounds you if you’re feeling down, you can remember your power is from God,” he said. “And if you’re doing well, it keeps you humble and reliant because you know that your source is God, not you.”

Jason grew up in the church and went to a Christian school, but his relationship with the Lord began to deepen and grow when he went to college. He never expected to be advocating in social work, but this is the path God led him on.

“He gave me the burden,” Jason said. “He gave me the heart for it. I didn’t grow up thinking this was what I was going to do, but each step I took in each job and volunteer role narrowed it down. If I don’t do what God’s calling me to do, who will?”

Jason can be reached through the 111Project Contact Page.
